“There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen”
– Vladimir Lenin
It feels, these days, like the world is hurtling through space a lot faster than it used to. There is so much news, a minute doesn’t seem to go by without some major event erupting on the global scene. Sometimes it makes you want to scream and laugh, all at once.
To discuss some of the most notable moments in this news tornado, we’ve decided to start a monthly podcast, called “Weeks Where Decades Happen” (WWDH), using humor, mixed with a healthy dose of skepticism and rage against the status quo. Donald Trump will be a strong focus of that rage, of course.
Your hosts are Muftah’s editor-in-chief, Maryam Jamshidi, and our head of content partnership, Randa Elian – two women whose combined hair volume could cure worldwide baldness. As Americans who happen to be Muslims with roots in the Middle East, Maryam and Randa are the kind of girls who deal with impending interment by throwing brains and sass at all who stand in their way.
We very much value listener feedback, so if you have thoughts about what you liked, what you didn’t (please criticize us), and topics you’d like to see us tackle, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
