With financial support from Prince Charles of Britain, Turquoise Mountain established a school focused on reviving traditional crafts such as calligraphy, precious stone carving, jewellery, pottery and woodcarving. It is also one of the few institutions with a coeducational model where boys and girls are taught together and allowed to interact in public.
