Anastasia Vladimirova @stasia_writes

Anastasia Vladimirova works at Front Line Defenders, a Dublin-based international organization working to protect human rights defenders at risk. Before that, she was a Rapid Response Associate at ReThink Media working on human rights and civil liberties issues including torture, targeted killing, surveillance, Islamophobia, national security, and government accountability. Her work has appeared on Waging Nonviolence and Index on Censorship, where she also served on the Youth Advisory Board in 2015. In her writing, Anastasia focuses on issues at the intersection of law, freedom of speech and of the press, civil liberties, and dominant power structures.

She is originally from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and holds a BA in Peace and Global Studies and Journalism from Earlham College
