Brian Bergen-Aurand is originally from Chicago, Illinois, has lived in Baltimore, Maryland and Istanbul, Turkey, and now resides in Singapore, where he teaches cinema and gender & sexuality studies. Brian is involved in several local LGBTQ groups and writes about film, ethics, and embodiment from an anarcho-queer/social collectivist perspective at foreigninfluence.com. He is especially interested in the intersection of screen cultures, non-normative embodiment, and dis/ability in post-secular situations. From 2004-2006, he was the gender and sexuality section editor at Clamor: Your DIY Guide for Everyday Revolution. Currently, he is completing a book on anarchisms, aesthetics, and ethics entitled Without Coercion.
