Charlie Hoyle is a British journalist who has worked in the Middle East for over five years. He was formerly a senior editor and staff writer at Ma’an News Agency in Palestine and has written for a number of online publications including Middle East Eye, Al-Monitor, Open Democracy, and Your Middle East. Charlie previously worked for a variety of NGOs in London and the Middle East with a focus on human rights.Charlie holds an MSc in Violence, Conflict, and Development from SOAS. His interests include minority rights, the political economy of violence, the role of identity in conflict, and war to peace transitions.
