Drew Paul is an Assistant Professor of Arabic at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He received his Ph.D. in Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures in 2013 from the University of Texas at Austin. His research centers on modern Arabic literature, language, and culture. He has lived and traveled extensively in the Middle East, including Egypt, Palestine, and Israel.
