Eman Elshaikh @mataahef

Eman Elshaikh is a former co-editor of Muftah’s Egypt and North Africa pages. Her research interests include the history of political movements in the Middle East, political consciousness, and revolutionary subjectivity, which she explores both in her academic writing as well as in her creative work. Eman previously served as a non-fiction judge for the Arab American Book Awards and worked as an editor for Lyceum, a campus literary and fine arts journal. Her undergraduate thesis explored the imperiled landscape of political knowledge, identity, and revolutionary subjectivity in academia.
