Kübra Güven @hkubra

Kübra Güven is a blogger, calligrapher, and engineer. Her research has included examining how different conceptions of identity across social networks tie in with political and social identities outside virtual networks. Her previous research interests have extended to data ownership and privacy in social networks, and the role of terms of use policies in social networks as compared with social contract models in traditional communities. Kubra’s professional interests also include big data management and analytics. She is a feminist and an avid blogger and commenter on womenís rights issues, perceptions and conceptualizations of gender, intersectionality, and LGBTQ rights, with a particular focus on Muslim communities and experience. Kübra analyses on political and social issues in Turkey, mainly in Turkish, can be found at http://hkubra.org.
