Laith Ulaby is a musician and ethnomusicologist. He has conducted several years of research in the Arab world and taught about the music and culture of the Middle East at the university level. As a musician, Laith has performed professionally in a wide range of Middle Eastern and American styles, primarily on bass and ‘ud.Laith holds a Bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Michigan and a PhD in ethnomusicology from UCLA.
