Laurent Bonnefoy is a CNRS research fellow at the Centre d’études et de recherches internationales (CERI – Sciences Po) in Paris. He is deputy principal investigator of the project When Authoritarianism Fails in the Arab World (WAFAW). Previously, he worked as consultant for the International Crisis Group in Yemen. His book, Salafism in Yemen. Transnationalism and Religious Identity, was published in late 2011.
