Marie-Helene Rousseau @MH_Rousseau

Marie-Helene Rousseau is a communications officer at the Syrian American Medical Society in Washington DC. Marie-Helene was born in Jordan and has lived in Tunisia, Bangladesh, Morocco, Italy, Egypt, Greece and New York. She graduated from New York University with a degree in Comparative Literature and Journalism. Marie-Helene has written for outlets such as the Daily News Egypt and the InterPress Service, and has devised communications initiatives at organizations such as Lighthouse Relief, the Global Partnership for Afghanistan, and the GE Foundation. She was also a 2015-2016 Global Health Corps fellow. In her work, Marie-Helene focuses on raising awareness about forced displacement and the issues facing refugees.
