Usman Butt is a television & radio producer, and a writer of non-fiction and hopefully, one day, fiction, as well. Based near London, Usman read International Relations and Arabic Language at the University of Westminster and completed a Master of Arts in Palestine Studies at the University of Exeter. He has also lived in Damascus, Syria. When he is not making television with production companies, the BBC or other channels, Usman is a social and political activist who is involved in various refugee solidarity groups and Syria related-causes. As Blaise Pascal once wrote, “All our dignity lies in thought…Let us labor, then, to think well.” This is the philosophy Usman lives by.
