Victoria Heath is currently pursuing her MGA at the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 with a BA, honors degree in History and Political Science, and then served as an AmeriCorps member from 2013-2014 as a tutor and advisor for high-risk students in Newark, NJ. Victoria’s area of expertise is the Middle East, specifically the GCC, and her interests range from human security and defense, as well as women’s rights and education. She has done previous research with Project Vote Smart, and the Lutheran World Federation in Kakuma, Kenya. Currently, Victoria serves as the Co-Chair of the Migration and Policy Coalition (MAPC) at the University of Toronto, and conducts research regarding countering-violent extremism programs. Victoria grew up in a military family, and lived for many years in Saudi Arabia.
