Iranian-American filmmaker, Justin Mashouf, is drawn to stories that highlight the unique interactions and blurred distinctions existing within the Muslim world.

In his new documentary, Re-Made Men, Justin looks at the transformative power of service and leadership in the lives of Muslim converts transitioning out of incarceration in the United States. As with his other work, the film challenges conventional thinking and preconceived notions about Muslim communities, whether in the United States or abroad.

In this podcast, we speak to Justin about his new film, the reasons he was drawn to the story, and the trajectory of his work as a filmmaker.
