Critical reviews of recent books and films, ranging from 1000 – 2000 words
Interviews with persons of interest, the length of which may vary

To submit your work, send us a complete draft at contact@muftah.org and include the word “submission” in the subject line. In the body of your email, briefly introduce yourself and summarize your piece in roughly 100 words. We do not accept previously published work.
Please send us a Word document (.doc or .docx) as other formats will not be considered. Use 12 pt, Times New Roman (or similar) font. Keep everything single spaced, but separate your paragraphs (no indentations). All sources must be embedded as hyperlinks; use Chicago-style endnotes as a last resort. With your submission, include a brief bio of roughly 100 words.
Our editorial team carefully reviews all submissions. Given our commitment to quality over quantity, we accept submissions sparingly. You can expect a response within one week. Accepted pieces will enter a detailed and collaborative editing process. We encourage writers from diverse backgrounds to submit their work.
